When Raquel first contacted me, she mentioned how much she loved the photo of Harley in her Aunt Heart……ummm if you are part of the crazy WDW BST world, then you understand my instant connection with her (and excitement). Then I found out she was one of the amazing women behind the scenes…..OMG. I knew if anything, Miss Lily’s wardrobe would be outstanding. And it was. If you are not familiar with well dressed wolf, it’s a magical children’s clothing line started by two sisters here in Covington, Sarah and Shannon. But extends beyond that. Each article of clothing has a story behind it that makes them so special. Even more than that is the community of mothers that has formed because of the brand. A community of strength and support from complete strangers. It’s a beautiful thing.
I could never be a photographer that does mini sessions. Some children warm up instantly. And some take time. And that’s ok. I’m here to give them that time. Lily was one that needed some time to get used to this strange lady with a funny black box. I love looking through the images how she blossomed throughout the evening. By the end of the session, I even got a hug and a kiss goodbye.
After s spring filled with colorful wildflowers, at first I was kind of sad we wouldn’t have any for their session. But honestly, I prefer simplicity. When we arrived I spotted some small white flowers in the distance. When we got closer we saw that it was a little patch of dandelions. How perfect!
The little princess looked perfect in her Aunt Heart. My unicorn 🙂
But of course, she had to have a wardrobe change…..
We had rescheduled our session from the week before because it has been so rainy. So it just so happened that our session fell on mother’s day. We were blessed with the most beautiful sunset and now Raquel has this sweet photo of her and her sweet baby to remember the day by. I think it’s my favorite.
Now you remember I told you it took a little while for Lily to warm up………look at the last shot of the evening 🙂
