I met this sweet lady at a birth fair where there were a bunch of other newborn photographers.  This was my first event and I had zero photographer friends.  She is the amazing photographer behind the lens of Jennifer Bonnet Photography.  If you don’t follow her already on Facebook….you should.  Her children’s portraits are incredible.  She added me to a local photographer Facebook group and we totally hit it off!  This was in 2015.   At the time, Harley was 15 months old and her daughter, Maggie was just a few months younger.  They have become the best of friends and so have we!   It has been so much fun watching them grow up together.  We have gotten together for a bazillion photo shoots of the girls.  It is probably my favorite thing to do.  She is the first person I call when I spot a patch of flowers on side of the road (or for pretty much everything else under the sun).

We had this big plan this summer.  Jennifer was going to plant this fabulous filed of wildflowers and we were going to do their family photos surrounded by beautiful blooms.   The field was planted and actually sprouted flowers!  Not thousands but enough!  But the problem with wildflowers is they don’t last forever.  And well with rain and life…the session never happened.  So we pushed it to last week.  I had a week off from teaching so was able to do a weekday.  And luckily Ricky, Jennifer’s husband, had Wednesday off so Wednesday it was!

Bonnet Family 2018

It was SUCH a gorgeous evening! And Jennifer transitioned their summer wardrobe to fall just perrrrfectly.

I was hoping to get a good photo for this sweet momma.  I know how it is with my family photos when my  goal is just want one to frame to remember what we all looked like that year.  We got a few of this bunch! This one is my favorite.  Matthew’s new toothless smile, Madison with her hand on her hip and Miss Maggie running the show  <3

Let’s take a moment to appreciate how easy it is to give momma snuggles but dad gets the silly faces!

Now this picture had to be included and is probably the one that represents their personalities the best lol!  I think 90% of the photos I took looked like this ha ha.

I think the first thirty minutes of a session are just killing time until the sun goes down.  We have the prettiest sunsets in the fall in Louisiana.  The sky is golden behind the big oak trees.

Now in this next photo I want you to pay attention to the one-legged pirate girl on the left, the extra big cheese gummy grin on the right, and the I’m-gonna-smile-so-hard-my-eye’s-are-gonna-pop-out-of-my-head grin in the middle.  I thought, do I add a second leg?  Nah, we are gonna leave it just like that.

Tickle fight for the win!  Notice Jennifer and Madison have the exact same tickle mouth lol.

We finished the evening with a little twirling, some ring-around-the-rosie and a big ole squeeze for mom.

I’d say it was more like a play date that a photo session.  Love this bunch to pieces.
