Welcoming a newborn into the world is a momentous occasion filled with love, joy, and endless possibilities. I recently had the pleasure of documenting the tender moments of a precious newborn during a heartwarming Slidell newborn session that left everyone with smiles and cherished memories.
Behind the Scenes:
Every photoshoot is a unique experience, and this newborn session was no exception. From the careful selection of luxurious props to the gentle lighting setup, every detail was meticulously planned to create an environment of comfort for both the baby and the proud parents. Prior to every session clients come to a pre-session consultation where they can look at all of the wonderful things I have to style their baby’s newborn session. We choose colors for backdrops, wraps, bonnets and all of the accessories. There are so many things to use!
We coordinated their session to match their maternity session. You can see my favorites from that session HERE. We used a beautiful shade of teal and cream and gray. It coordinated perfectly!
Meet the Star:
Introducing Winston! Isn’t’ he the most precious little bundle? I think the teal his mom and dad picked out looked so perfect with his skin tone.
We focused on capturing all of those tiny details. His sweet little profile, tiny 10 fingers and toes and first family photos with mom and dad. All of the high quality props used in his shoot made it extra special.
Newborn Portrait Studio
Winston’s newborn session was in the cozy comfort of my newborn portrait studio. It was carefully constructed with my new mommas in mind. There is a comfortable sitting room for you to relax and still see everything going on as I photograph your baby. The picture room is kept a cozy 85 degrees and there is a clear glass barn door in between the two rooms so you don’t have to sweat with me if you don’t want to.
Family Portraits
Family portraits are done at the end of the session. This gives parents plenty of time to enjoy some breakfast, maybe take a nap (!) and get ready for their family portraits.
After the Session
Once your session is over the fun is just beginning! After your session you will come back for your viewing and ordering appointment where we will look at all of the beautiful images we got that day. You will select your favorites and decide which ones you want to purchase. We will design beautiful art for your home or create a special album for you and your precious baby to cherish.
