The New Octavians {Hammond Performing Arts}

Not my typical blog post with babies and puppies and vintage dresses. But this amazing organization needed to be highlighted. If you have a child that loves to perform or sing or expresses interest in playing the piano. There is no better place around. Or maybe you want to break your kids away from their phones and iPads and let them experience THEATER. Come see a show!! Attend a summer camp!! They are highly entertaining for kids of all ages! I promise you won’t be disappointed.

The Octavian Foundation For The Arts is a non-profit performing arts academy that offers music and theatre education and community theatre. The Executive Director is none other than the uber-talented Mr. Brent Goodrich. Brent received his Bachelors of Music in Performance and Masters of Music in Performance from Southeastern Louisiana University. He has been the Artistic Director of the New Octavians since 2017. His musical talents are limitless. You may find him directing concert performances, acting in major roles in diverse productions, and most importantly sharing his knowledge with the youth in our area.

Brent offers lessons in voice, piano and acting. He is one of the most qualified instructors in our area and his students give the most glowing reviews of receiving instruction from him. Not only do his students polish their skillsets in these areas, but they develop a sense of pride and self-confidence like no other that is a direct result from the encouragement and support he provides them. He is truly one of a kind. And not to mention adorable.
