Slidell newborn photographer {Kannon 2 months}
I met this beautiful couple at the beginning of the year at their maternity session. Cassandra was breathtakingly beautiful. See more from her maternity session here.
I was so excited to meet their precious baby boy. But then….covid. Her due date was right at the time the world was shutting down for the quarantine. I often thought how is my photography business going to survive if being around people is going to be discouraged? Well, restrictions were slowly lifted and in phase 2 photographers were able to resume working with restrictions. So two months after his birth, I was lucky to meet Kannon.
Kannon 2 months
Most of the older newborn sessions I’ve done have started with awake curious babies. I love it because they have the sweetest expressions and look so different awake. Look at those big brown eyes!
After a snack and a nice cozy swaddle he went right to sleep and stayed asleep for the rest of his session. I loved ever color we used on him, especially the yellow.
The bucket pose is one of my favorites. I had the perfect size bucket for this sweet boy.
There was so much love and excitement at their maternity session and even more with their precious baby boy in their arms.
I am so fortunate to be apart of such a special time in peoples lives. There is nothing like bringing a brand new baby into the world.
Kannon’s session shows you that you can still have beautiful photos with older newborns. If you regret not taking newborn pictures it’s not too late! The poses are a little simpler but you can get such a sweet variety with those adorable awake faces they make!
