This gorgeous momma-to-be has been waiting patiently for her maternity session. We have had typical Louisiana weather with afternoon rain showers and sometimes downpours. She was scheduled for last week but it poured allllll day long.

It rained the day before her scheduled session this week too but luckily Wednesday looked beautiful. I was fully prepared to wear rain boots and told her to bring a towel and old shoes just in case but it was actually dry and beautiful! I did remember bug spray….thank goodness…so besides a little sweat (because it was HOT), it was pretty much perfect.

We had her session at Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville. The best part about a Wednesday session in the middle of June is that there is not a soul in the park. We had the whole field by the big oak trees all to ourselves.

My favorite part about the park is how the light of the sun setting shines so beautifully through the Spanish moss and branches of the big oaks. It is so amazing and looks just a little bit different at different times of the year. During the summer months it’s a soft yellow light filtering through the trees. It was a perfect backdrop for this sweet couple.

So happy we had such a beautiful evening for this sweet couple. The weather was perfect, momma was gorgeous, they were as sweet as can be. Excited to meet their baby boy in just a few short weeks!
