New Orleans Family Photographer {Mattie and Harley}

This is one of my favorite sessions I do with my girls every year. It’s a hidden gem not know to everyone in the middle of a big city. When you think of New Orleans you think of Mardi Gras and Bourbon Street and swamp tours and good food. But in the middle of May in New Orleans City Park you can find fields of bright yellow and purple wildflowers under the oak trees. It is truly a sight to be seen. Because the sun sets rather late this time of year, we wake up early and head out before the sun comes up. It is sooo worth it. Nothing compares. It is amazing.

I always have so many favorites from this session, it is impossible to narrow down ones to edit. These are a few of my favorites.

Harley was so cooperative all morning running in the flowers, picking her favorites and stopping to smell them (even though they don’t smell lol).

But when this girl is done, she is done. She looked at me and said this is my face now! I am done! Ok, kid. I can take a hint.

After we did wild flower pictures we drove to the park on the other side of city park to play for a bit and what did we run into?? Ducks! Of course that meant more pictures lol. It was so funny because they would chase her and she took off running! Funny thing is…. I think this is my favorite picture of the day.
