This sweet family came to me earlier this year for their maternity portraits. I couldn’t wait to see what baby girl looked like. I feel like maternity portraits are much more formal and newborn portraits are cozy and intimate. Kate first selected pink for the accent color but when she arrived she told me she actually loved how she looked in cooler colors. So we started with pink as originally planned then added green in to match their maternity session. I think momma was right! I love how she looked in green.

ALEENA NEWBORN

What do you think? Pink or green? I’m torn lol. I loved how involved her dad was in her session. He saw all of the pretty colors I had in the studio and wanted to use this purple on Aleena. Her session turned into a beautiful rainbow. Much different than my usually one accent color but I love it!

Usually after baby eats and is wrapped up and nice and cozy I can get a smile out of them. I actually got like 6 from Aleena. It was hard picking the best one! But I think mom and dad loved her peeking eyes here. This was the winner.
