It’s fun when parents don’t find out the sex of the baby.  Yes, I’m an over planner and could not wait with my girls but I can imagine the excitement in the delivery room when the doctor told them “It’s a boy”!  Not knowing whether they were having a boy or girl, Christine chose to do a “Twinkle twinkle little star” theme for the nursery.  How sweet is that?  So the colors for his session were dark blue, grey, cream with a hint of gold.

Introducing Leo

With his due date being so close to Easter, his mom and dad gave him the nickname, Bunny.  So obviously I was going to stick him in a bunny bonnet…..

If you know his mom and dad, you know just how sweet and calm and mild tempered they are.  Well, the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree and sweet Leo is just as calm as they are.  It was so nice.  He didn’t cry at all.  Not a peep.  Just relaxed and sleepy and he let me pose him however I wanted.  We were done in about an hour.

Christine brought this precious gold star blanket to go with his nursery.  I love how he looks all snuggled up under it.

I think my favorite series in my newborn sessions (besides parent shots) are posing on this amazing fluff.  I get these from Oh So Fleeting.  I have it in lots of colors and try to use light and shadows to highlight babies perfect features.   Leo’s creamy skin looked perfect against the dark blue.

Snug as a bug….I think he loved being wrapped up most.

Last but not least, my most favorite part of a newborn session, seeing two new parents with hearts so full they may burst.
