Covington LA Newborn Photographer {Au’Launi}

There is something so wonderful when a new baby joins the family. It’s a year of first and they bring so much love and joy. Well I’m the luck one. Last year my niece welcomed the most precious baby girl into the family and we all could not be more in love. She is already four months old and as cute as can be. She is the spitting image of her momma at this age.

The funny thing is, her mom was one of my very first newborn models wayyyyyyy back in the early 2000’s before this was even a thing. I took her to my dad’s condo where he had a sheepskin rug that my grandma brought back from New Zealand. We put her in a pretty little dress and I surrounded her with dried flowers I took from my moms potpourri lol. Not much has changed since then. I still use the sheepskin and like to surround babies with flowers. Well, maybe I’m a little better in terms of posing lol.

Introducing….my beautiful great niece…Al’auni.

Could she be more perfect? These are just a few favorites, but you know we did all the poses and all the set ups and all the rich beautiful fall colors.

Look at that beautiful whispy hair. She’s so precious!

I ended up choosing a berry linen color for her album that matched this set up. It came out so pretty. I wish I would have taken photos of it!

She slept so well and was comfy in the bucket.

I couldn’t wait to do this set up. If I’m using flowers, I like to incorporate what is blooming all around us that time of year. In October in Louisiana the roadsides are covered with these yellow, white and blue flowers. I know every time this momma sees the flowers it will remind her of those first few weeks with her baby.

Last but not least the sweetest of first family photos. So much love for their baby girl <3
