It is so nice when I have the opportunity to meet newborn clients before the baby arrives.  You get to see just how much the parents are in love with each other and their little one even before he/she arrives.  In typical Louisiana fashion, we had beautiful cool weather followed by several muggy rainy days.  So we had a repeat of last weeks maternity session at Fontainebleau State Park where the park was pretty much flooded.  My heart sank when I got out of the car to see the swamp of a field that I shoot in.   Luckily I have the most awesome clients (and we had no small children), and Nicole said she didn’t mind one bit and would stand in the mud.  Other than that little teeny tiny obstacle, the evening was absolutely gorgeous and their were no other photographers out to fight with for locations.  Ha ha I wonder why.

Isn’t she precious??!

Awaiting Baby Julius

Dad was smart and wore water proof boots.  I need to remember that for my next session after the weather we have had.  To get out of the mud we headed to the beach.  The sun was still very high but there are lots of nice spots that are different from the mossy trees.

Aren’t they the sweetest?  They love and adore baby Julius so much and you can see just how much he is wanted.  Some of my favorite photos at maternity sessions are the sunset silhouettes.  The sun was still very high so I was kinda bummed but then for a split second, the clouds covered the sun and we got the most beautiful backdrop for this gorgeous momma.  It’s the kinda sky that looks like angels are hiding in the clouds looking down.  It was so beautiful.

And just as fast as they came, they were gone.

So grateful for the opportunity to photograph these two during such a special time.  Anxious (as I am sure they are too) to meet baby Julius!
