I think having two girls makes me a little more excited when I get to plan a boy session.   I love every part of the process.  From planning the details of a session, to photographing the most precious babies to editing their photos so they look exactly as I envisioned in my head.  Carson was wide awake when he arrived.  But it didn’t last long.  Once I got my hands on him and wrapped him up all snuggly, he was out!  And I was dying to use this little bear bonnet!  There is nothing cuter than little babies dressed like baby animals 🙂

Usually momma’s take advantage of having a baby sitter and take a nap during the session.  I was lucky to have Allison by my side the whole time so she got to see first hand what goes on behind the scenes.  It was so nice having company!  She got to help with the froggy pose 🙂

I try to do a classic all cream set-up at every session.  It never goes out of style.

Let me tell you, he loved being swaddled.  He was so cozy and comfortable I hated unwrapping him!

This is my most favorite pose/lighting combo ever.  You get to see every detail of his perfect little face.

This little guy wanted to keep his fingers curled up in a little ball.  His momma and I were laughing about how much I struggled to flatten them for these shots!  But I always win.

Carson smiled so many times throughout his session and I was just too slow to catch them! But he saved one for the very end when he was in his Daddy’s hands and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
