I love doing maternity sessions for parents expecting their first child. There is so much unknown and excitement between the mom and dad. It is such a life changing and amazing event. And even though I know they are anxious to meet baby, I try to remind them to enjoy each other and the peaceful quiet these next few weeks as they complete a chapter in their lives. These two were the cutest. So in love. Its pretty obvious 🙂 And Amanda was just STUNNING. Oh my gosh. When she stepped out of the car I knew this would be a great session!

I love how at one location you can get such a variety of backgrounds if you just look and see past what is there. And a big thank you to the State of Louisiana for not cutting the grass. I love love tall grasses……and Louisiana oak trees. How lucky are we to have such beautiful majestic trees were the perfect setting for this sweet couple.

Stunning-Louisiana-maternit — Something bittersweet about those last few weeks before baby arrives. You are super anxious about meeting the baby but at the same time a little sad that the days of it being just the two of you are coming to an end.

Amanda was hoping for wild flowers which are hard to come by as we approach June. I was so happy to find these beautiful flowers and was going to find a way to make them work for her. She couldn’t be more beautiful.
