Welcoming a newborn into the family is a monumental moment filled with joy, anticipation, and boundless love. It’s a time when every little detail seems precious, and every moment is cherished. Capturing these fleeting moments through newborn photography allows families to freeze time and relive the magic for years to come. But what happens when a furry friend becomes an integral part of the picture-perfect moment? Enter the newborn session with a dog—an enchanting blend of baby giggles, tiny toes, and wagging tails!  This was the sweetest Covington newborn session with a furry friend!

Newborn Session with Furry Friend

As a newborn photographer, every session presents a unique story waiting to unfold.  I always ask how can we make their session extra special and who can we incorporate.  I was excited to hear—they wanted their beloved fur baby, to be a part of the session. As an animal lover myself, I am always thrilled at the prospect of capturing the bond between a newborn and their furry sibling.

Baby Beckett’s Covington Newborn Session

I got to meet their fur baby at their maternity session just a few months before.  So I knew how gentle he was and couldn’t wait to see him interact with baby Beckett.  On the day of the session, heart full of love, he immediately stole the show. His tail wagged furiously as he sniffed around, taking in the new environment with curiosity and enthusiasm. It was evident from the start that he was not just a pet but an integral part of their family.

We did all of the traditional poses with baby and then incorporated his furry big brother.  The sweet pup gently sniffed baby becket and put his nose on the top of his head. And even sat down beside him in the bucket.  He was such a good boy!

The best part is that these two will grow up together.  I love photographing them a few years down the line to watch how their relationship grows.
